Duuring September-October 2013 the Association of Accountants and Auditors of Armenia(AAAA) implemented the monitoring of audit quality (MAQ) for audit companies,according to the principles and procedures defined by the Board of AAAA. The mainpurpose of MAQ is to raise the quality of audit in the Republic of Armenia and to increasetrust among the wide range of community.
A number of audit companies acting in the Republic of Armenia took part in the MAQvoluntarily, which was performed by the Inspection group, chosen by AAAA. TheInternational Federation of Accountants (IFAC) appointed an international expert PaulHarrison (United Kingdom) as a Head of the Group, who is a skilled auditor and has anexperience of performing such kind of tasks in various countries.
